Nerd Culture and Media

We discuss the latest and greatest in comics, movies and TV with a focus on superheroes, science fiction and fantasy. Every now and then we'll indulge our inner teenie boppers with episodes dedicated to late 90s/early 00s melodramatic cinema (i.e., Dawson's Creek and Veronica Mars).

Politics and Identity

At its best, nerd culture and media blends stark realism with the surreal and fantastic. We're interested in tracing the connections between the worlds on and off screen. We'll explore the possibilities of nerd pop culture as a platform to grapple with issues of inequality and injustice.
